CLEANERS IN HOSPITAL

SALARY : R144 024 per annum
CENTRE : Khayelitsha District Hospital, Khayelitsha/Eastern Sub-structure

REQUIREMENTS : Minimum requirement: Basic numeracy and literacy. Inherent necessities of the job: Willingness to work overtime, shifts along with nightshift, weekends and on public holidays. Willingness to take care of buff laptop etc. Ability to take care of heavy objects. Must be of sober habits. Willingness to work in a crew and rotate round the hospital. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Knowledge of Infection Control and Occupational Health and Safety Good interpersonal abilities with the relaxation of the multi-disciplinary group as nicely as the public. Good verbal exchange and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a crew surroundings and independently.

DUTIES : (key end result areas/outputs): Responsible for cleansing responsibilities i.e. sweeping, dusting, emptying boxes daily, mopping, scrubbing and polishing, cleansing windows, deep cleansing of toilets, established refuse and clinical waste managing and upkeep of established neatness and hygiene (adhere to OSH and IPC policies). Perform sufferers and parents’ meal serving and cleansing of crockery and cutlery (according to HACCP concepts and meals carrier unit policies). Effective use of machinery, renovation and safekeeping of consumables and equipment. Attend in-service education and render aid to the supervisor with regards to conventional housekeeping duties. Handling of linen (soiled lined, soiled lined, easy linen, counting of linen, packing linen room, etc.) Assist in performing ad-hoc obligations inside the hospital.
