Job Description
Alert Engine Parts is searching for an skilled Assistant Warehouse Manager to be a part of our group in Brackenfell. This function is accountable for aiding the Warehouse Manager in overseeing all warehouse operations, inclusive of receiving, storage, picking, dispatch, inventory control, security, maintenance, administration, and the administration of body of workers and Team Leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the every day administration of warehouse operations, making sure environment friendly receiving, storage, picking, dispatch, and inventory distribution.
- Support the implementation of inventory manage policies, display inventory counts, inspect variances and shortages, and enforce controls to minimise inventory losses and theft.
- Ensure inbound shipments are received, checked, allocated, and dispensed to branches inside prescribed turnaround times.
- Oversee lower back inventory processes, along with Returns for Credit (RFCs) and dealer returns.
- Monitor warehouse performance, address operational issues, and make sure lead instances and carrier stages are achieved.
- Assist with team of workers scheduling, depart planning, training, development, overall performance management, and discipline.
- Supervise drivers, automobile maintenance, and distribution routes.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise policies, BSOPs, Gemba Board requirements, Health & Safety regulations, and all applicable labour legislation.
- Support the fulfillment of warehouse targets thru high-quality planning, reporting, system improvement, and crew leadership.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Tertiary qualification in Warehouse Management or Logistics (advantageous).
- Minimum of five years’ warehouse ride inside the car industry.
- Previous journey as a Warehouse Supervisor or Warehouse Manager is essential.
- Sound know-how of warehouse and logistics operations with a hands-on administration style.
- Good grasp of applicable legislation, along with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, and Employment Equity Act.
- Computer literate.
- Clear crook record.
