SALARY : R107 196 per annum

REQUIREMENTS : Minimum requirements: Basic literacy and numeracy skills. Experience: Appropriate trip in cleansing sanatorium or fitness environments. Inherent necessities of the job: Ability to lift/move heavy objects and working at heights requiring the use of a stepladder. Willingness to work shifts, public
holidays, weekends, additional time and night time duty. Relief in different departments when necessary. Willingness to bear formal and casual training. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Knowledge of Infection Control and Occupational Health and Safety. Good interpersonal competencies with the relaxation of the multi-disciplinary team as nicely as the public. Communication abilities in at least two of the three legit languages of the Western Cape. Good verbal exchange and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a crew surroundings and independently.

DUTIES : Responsible for cleansing obligations i.e. sweeping, dusting, emptying packing containers daily, mopping, scrubbing and polishing, cleansing windows, deep cleansing of toilets, normal refuse and clinical waste coping with and protection of prevalent neatness and hygiene (adhere to OSH and IPC policies). Perform patient’s and parents’ meal serving and cleansing of crockery and cutlery (according to HACCP concepts and meals carrier unit policies). Effective use of machinery, protection and safekeeping of consumables and equipment. Attend inservice coaching and render assist to the supervisor with regards to regularly occurring housekeeping duties. Handling of linen (soiled lined, soiled lined, easy linen, counting of linen, packing linen room, etc.) Assist in performing ad-hoc responsibilities inside the hospital.
