PORTER (X2 POSTS)

SALARY : R104 073 per annum

REQUIREMENT : Minimum requirement: Basic reading, writing and numerical skills. Experience: Appropriate porter journey in a fitness facility. Inherent necessities of the job: Willingness to work shifts consisting of nightshift, weekends and on public holidays. Willingness to work time beyond regulation when required. Ability to function tasks such as lifting sufferers from/onto beds trolleys and wheelchairs. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Ability to talk in at least two of the three authentic languages of the Western Cape. Good interpersonal and verbal exchange skills. Ability to work underneath pressure. Willing to work in a team.

DUTIES : Accompany taking walks sufferers and transport sitting/non-walking sufferers per wheelchair/trolley from reception to the wards or from the wards to the remedy centres. Assist with the loading of sufferers in/out of ambulances/vehicles and render help to nursing team of workers with the switch of sufferers to beds/trolleys and vice versa and aid with the transportation of corpses from wards and entire mortuary registers. Carry clinical and different documentation (patient files, reports, etc.) to wards/treatment areas. Check, report, and exchange gasoline cylinders in wards/treatment areas and help with transferring of scientific gear to and from rooms. Responsible for the cleanliness of trolleys, wheelchairs, and working areas and record any defects to trolleys/wheelchairs to the supervisor and reply to requests from wards/clinics.
