ARTISAN ASSISTANT

SALARY : R193 359 per annum
CENTRE : Murraysburg Hospital

REQUIREMENTS : Minimum academic qualification: NQF three (Grade 10 or equivalent). Experience: Appropriate trip and sound understanding of sanatorium plant, laundry gear and machinery. Inherent necessities of the job: Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license. Willingness to do standby and work extra time and after hours, along with weekends and public holidays. Physical potential to operate work at heights and in restrained spaces. Willingness to tour and work at all Public Health Institutions inside the Central Karoo District. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Ability to speak successfully each verbal and written. Ability to cope with warfare and problem-solving situations. Be conversant with the necessities of the Machinery and Occupational Health and Safety Act. Ability to diagram personal work activities, work independently and in a team.

DUTIES : Carry out and aid the Artisan Foreman / Production Artisan with class 1 maintenance: e.g., basic/elementary maintenance, installations, inspections, and repairs at Health Institutions to make sure compliance with the OHS Act and different applicable rules or acts. Ensure an organised and neat
workshop/office space. Attend to Job Requisitions and job cards. Assist with Administration responsibilities and functions. Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety instructions. Support to Supervisor.
