FOOD SERVICES AID

SALARY : R104 073 per annum
CENTRE : Swartland Hospital, Malmesbury

REQUIREMENTS : Minimum requirement: Basic studying and writing skills. Experience: Appropriate trip in an industrial Food Service environment. Inherent necessities of the job: Ability to work shifts, which includes weekends and public holidays. Must be wholesome and sturdy sufficient to raise heavy objects and be on their toes the whole day. Dress in accordance to departmental specs and adhere to Hospital Policy. Interpret recipes, use a scale and do fundamental sums. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Knowledge of manufacturing for ordinary and therapeutic diets in an industrial meals provider unit. Ability to efficiently interpret standardized recipes and manufacturing planning. Knowledge of hygiene, occupational health, HACCP and protection principles. Ability to safely and efficiently take care of industrial equipment. Must be in a position to work independently and below pressure. Ability to talk efficaciously (verbal and written) in at least two of the three legit languages of the Western Cape.

DUTIES : Pre-preparation and manufacturing of all everyday and therapeutic diets. Weigh, dishing up and distribution of affected person meals and beverages. Assist in receipt and storage of all provisions and inventory in the meals provider unit. Follow right hygiene and protection processes inside the meals carrier unit. Follow and adhere to basic manage measures and widespread operational procedures. Cleaning of all work areas, storage areas, utensils and equipment. Assist with casual in-service coaching of new employees.
