Position Purpose
The provision of labour as directed with the aid of supervisor in order to make sure secure and smooth working surroundings or optimized cargo.
Preference will be given to People residing with disabilities and candidates dwelling in Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality.
Position Outputs
Cleaning of operational tools (such as ship to shore cranes’ windows; cranes’ cabins; etc.).
Inspection of container condition.
Reefer monitoring operations.
Opening and closing of rail wagons twist-locks.
Loading off-loading and slacking of cargo in compliance of popular running procedures.
Hooking/ unhooking
Tarping/ untarping the place applicable
Place/ put off dunnage
Cleaning of operational areas, rail trucks, plant, workshops, offices, sheds and ablution amenities as instructed.
Complete relevant documentation i.e. accident reports.
Identification of right cargo dealing with equipment/ gear.
Qualifications and Experience
Years of Experience with a formal qualification: • Grade 12 / NQF four • Minimum of 1 12 months journey .
