Job Description
Join Lactalis at our Ladismith Plant as a Boiler Operator inside the Boiler branch .The primary obligations of the position will be run two boilers concurrently on a non-stop groundwork to supply the manufacturing facility steam. Successful candidates wishes to have at least three years’ relevant experiences as a certified boiler operator. Must have trip on semi-automated boiler manipulate structures and experience in simple boiler and stoker upkeep tasks. Be fluent in English and be laptop literate.
Required Skills
• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Must be licensed as a Boiler Operator
• three year’s experiences as a certified boiler operator.
• Experience on coal fired boiler and oil fired boiler.
• Good conversation skills
• Basic laptop capabilities – journey on semi-automated boiler manipulate systems.
• Experience in simple boiler and stoker renovation tasks.
• Good trouble fixing and selection making skills
• Willing to learn about after hours
• Willing to work shifts, lengthy hours, overtime, weekends and public holidays

Operating, planning, organising and manage of steam necessities for all the departments at the Ladismith Plant.
To make sure that combustion coal is fed to the stokers continuously and that burnt ash is eliminated properly.
To make certain that there are culinary first-rate of steam at all the time.
Do security inspections and exams each hour to make sure that the secure operation of these strain vessels are adhere to.
All administration duties in the boiler house.
Manage all day to day things to do with regards to the boiler room requirements which pertains to boiler security checks, boiler effectivity control, TDS dimension and control, boiler feed water first-rate control, boiler gasoline fantastic checks, cleansing of boilers and generic housekeeping.
Ensure that manufacturing departments are stored knowledgeable of any deviations to steam satisfactory and supply.
Ensure at all instances that protection techniques and working requirements are a precedence and are adhered to Help to hold protection and high-quality standards.
Quality:
Adhere to nice and meals protection requirements as mentioned in SOP’s.
Check Boilers and signed off that controls are completed.
Partake in SGA’s to remedy and forestall client complaints.
Safety:
Safety inspection to be achieved with protection representative.
Report all hazardous conditions and ask Fitter to generate job cards.
Wear protecting clothing, listening to safety and any different safety as required in manufacturing areas
Have to wash their palms when coming into the manufacturing area
Wear the right security equipment: listening to protection, shoes. Ensure right gear is used.
Must put on security or gum boots
Test all security mechanisms on the equipment.
Report all close to misses and incidents.
If it is predicted to put on protection harness connected to a protected and secure point, when working on excessive level\

Food Safety
