Job Description
Responsible for imparting administrative help and reporting functionality to the Safety,
Health & Environmental Team, inclusive of investigations, reporting on all incidents or
accidents that can end result in non-public damage or harm property as properly as supporting with the
maintenance of the Abattoir HSE Standards.
Job Requirements
Grade 12 / NQF Level four Equivalent.
Health and security qualification preferred.
Minimum of 1-year applicable journey required.
Experience inside a chicken abattoir/ FMCG surroundings preferred.
Construction Regulations and different NOSA or comparable coaching would be beneficial.
SAMTRAC, SHEMTRAC, Hazard Identification & Risk Assessments, Legal compliance Assessments.
Internal or Lead Auditor certifications (e.g., ISO 45001 Lead Auditor) are especially advantageous.
CB – Code B driver’s license/ very own dependable transport preferred.
A willingness to work shift and time beyond regulation which includes on weekends and public holidays.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide administration guide to the SHE Officer and the H&S team.
Take minutes at meetings.
Prepare reviews and files for the SHE Officer.
Review and coordinate danger assessments, registers, incident reviews and audits.
Manage inner databases, registers, and auditing systems.
Administration and administration of the Safety, Health & Environmental Management System.
Process Accident and Incident forms, updating spreadsheets and following up as required.
Assist with Safety & Health Training, administering Training registration, information and issuing certificates the place required.
Assist with overseeing the work finished with the aid of staff, trades humans and subcontractors and refer non-compliances to the SHE Officer and/ or applicable line managers.
Monitor on-going compliance and usually file findings and summaries to the SHE
Officer.
In the tournament of an accident, incident, or emergency, expect administration of the site.
Assist with annual Health and Safety Management Systems Audits.
Participate in and record on administration structures audits, inspections, investigations,
and conferences as required.
Actively take part in exterior contractor, visitors, and employee’s induction process.
Promptly file all accidents, incidents and close to hits and take part in investigation as
required.
Participate in health, safety, quality, environment, and hazard initiatives.
Participating in the company’s Health and Safety Committee Meetings.
Draft & distribute toolbox talks to all departments and make sure attendance registers are
filed.
Skills and Abilities Required
Thorough understanding of ISO 22000, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 plus Certification
requirements.
Working understanding of built-in administration structures (IMS).
Working understanding of protection systems.
A working understanding of nearby OHS requirements.
A working know-how of environmental stewardship.
A Working Knowledge of a meals producing environment.
Able to interact and work with exterior stakeholders, suppliers and contractors.
Able to adapt and innovate quickly.
Able to take possession of areas responsible.
Able to work inside the team of workers and administration teams.
Able to collate and assemble Health & Safety reviews as required.
Able to manipulate and replace present Health and Safety system.
MS Office at an intermediate talent level.
Report writing.
Conducting Risk Assessments.
Conducting Non-Conformance audits.
Prepare and Present displays from time to time.
Must be a crew player.
