Introduction
SPAR North Rand, a division of The SPAR Group Ltd, is recruiting for a Senior Buyer (Butchery) at its Distribution Centre, placed in Olifantsfontein.
Duties & Responsibilities
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The motive of this role is to power and promote the enterprise via the shopping for of promotional and replenishment stock, verbal exchange and management to retailers, upholding the retail coverage and keeping class and divisional profits, retail profitability, stockholdings and carrier levels.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Negotiating with income representatives from suppliers
Maintaining complete files of all transactions with suppliers
Negotiating offers and costs to acquire aggressive retail costs and budgeted gross earnings for the DC and Retail
Managing inventory ranges and provider ranges towards income and budget
Managing product and carrier degrees in opposition to income and budget
Managing product levels inside special product categories
Achieving focused DC income and gross profit
Be section of marketing / customer trends
Drive income via extraordinary promotions
Drive income thru innovation
Desired Experience & Qualification
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
National Senior Certificate (Matric)
National Certificate / Diploma in Marketing Management or comparable – Recommended.
Diploma or Degree in Purchasing or Commerce – Recommended
Minimum 5 years’ working journey in the Butchery industry
Sound interpersonal and verbal exchange skills
Thorough information of shopping for structures and processes
Possess complete information of product vary necessities inside a grocery store environment
Proven negotiating skills
Strong drive, initiative and creativity
Hands on strategy to troubles and solutions
Administrative skills
Financial skills
Computer literacy
Knowledge on the SAP device would be beneficial.
Previous F.M.C.G. shopping for journey is required.
